Here are some of the highlights to look out for:

Black History Month

October is Black History Month in the UK, an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people across the UK. This year’s theme for Black History Month is focusing on ‘Proud to Be’ and throughout the month we’ll be sharing the inspirational stories from Black communities across the north of England and the UK, ranging from supporters who are working to improve healthcare services and raise awareness of diabetes in their local community to a dietician supporting people affected by diabetes to live well with the condition. All telling us what they are #ProudToBe.
